Multi-Choke technology is a comparatively recent phenomenon, before this, it was common for sporting shooters to carry two guns around - a trap gun for distance work and a skeet gun for close targets. Screw in chokes changed all that and the modern shooter was born.
Meanwhile Nigel Teague, a former Rolls Royce engineer was building an enviable reputation with his choke conversions of fixed-choke shotguns, making clay breaking machines that soon attracted interest as they appeared in the hands of consistent competition winners. With such high levels of interest, the next move into replacement chokes was a natural progression.
The chokes are manufactured by a company skilled in precision engineering, for markets such as the aerospace industry, together with the choke expertise of Nigel Teague, to bring you high quality replacement chokes, under the name, 'TEAGUE PRECISION CHOKES'.
The chokes are manufactured from 17/4 high tensile stainless steel, to exact tolerances. All the base measurements are closely related to the known mean bore sizes used by the gun manufactures.
Nigel believes in the benefits of a continuous taper over the entire length of the choke tube. By avoiding an abrupt taper from the main bore size to the desired constriction, the pellet deformation is reduced, with a marginal reduction in recoil, but above all, because the shot is constricted over a longer period, the patterns are greatly improved.
